TikTok Gambling Marketing Rules (2026)

TikTok Gambling Marketing Rules (2026)

TikTok gambling marketing rules are stricter than YouTube's or Kick's. If you stream slots or betting on another platform and post clips to TikTok, three official TikTok policies decide what stays up: the Community Guidelines, the Branded Content Policy and the advertising policy for gambling. We read all three on 17 October 2026 and summarise them below, with links to each.

Quick answer: You cannot promote gambling on TikTok as a creator. The Branded Content Policy lists online gambling, casinos, social casinos, sports betting, fantasy sports, bingo and lotteries as prohibited industries, and the Community Guidelines say TikTok does "not allow the facilitation or marketing of gambling". Content that only shows or glamorizes gambling is restricted to adults and not eligible for the For You feed. Paid gambling ads exist, but only for advertisers TikTok has certified in markets where gambling is legal.

The Three TikTok Policies That Cover Gambling

tiktok gambling marketing rules: three policies overview illustration
PolicyWhat it says about gamblingDate shown on the page
Community Guidelines: regulated commercial activitiesNo facilitation or marketing of gambling or gambling-like activities. Showing or glamorizing gambling is 18+ and not eligible for the For You feed. Limited exceptions for paid ads by advertisers with TikTok's explicit permission.Effective 17 May 2024
Branded Content PolicyGambling is a prohibited industry, including online gambling, casinos, social casinos, sports betting, fantasy sports, bingo, lotteries and other gambling related content. The commercial content disclosure toggle is required for all branded content.Last updated November 2023
Ads policy: Gambling and GamesGambling services may advertise only after TikTok's certification process and only where gambling is permitted. Ads must not reach minors and should carry legally required disclaimers and risk warnings.Last updated June 2026

All three pages were checked on 17 October 2026. TikTok revises these pages, so check the live versions before every new deal. The guidelines define gambling-like activities to include social casinos and gambling related software, so a sweepstakes or social casino deal is not a way around the rule.

What Streamers and Creators Cannot Post

If a casino pays you, gives you a code or benefits from the post, treat it as gambling marketing. On TikTok that rules out:

  • Sponsored casino or sportsbook posts. Paid content for any gambling brand is branded content in a prohibited industry. Turning on the disclosure toggle does not make it allowed.
  • Promo codes and sign up offers. "Use my code for a deposit bonus" is marketing of gambling, whether it sits in the video, the caption or a pinned comment.
  • Links to casinos. A bio link or comment link that sends viewers to a casino or affiliate page reads as facilitating gambling under the guidelines' wording.
  • Social and sweepstakes casino deals. These count as gambling-like activities and appear in the same prohibited industry list.
  • Sponsored betting picks. Slips or tips posted for a sportsbook that pays you fall under sports betting in the prohibited list.

The same applies to agencies and managers posting on your behalf. The account that posts carries the strike.

What Is Restricted but Not Banned

Content that shows or glamorizes gambling without marketing it is allowed but restricted: viewers must be 18 or older, and the video is not eligible for the For You feed. That removes the main way TikTok shows your videos to people who do not follow you yet.

Post typeStatus under the guidelinesEffect on reach
Your own big win clip, no sponsor, no codeShows gambling, so 18+Not eligible for the For You feed
Stream highlight with no gambling on screenNot gambling contentNormal reach
Sports or esports reaction with no odds and no bookmakerNot gambling contentNormal reach
Responsible gambling or harm educationDepends on how gambling is shownCheck before posting

For a streamer, the useful move is to treat TikTok as a channel for your personality, not your sessions. Funny chat moments, reactions and stories bring people to your main stream without putting your account at risk.

What Clippers Can and Cannot Post

tiktok gambling marketing rules: clipper rules illustration

Clippers carry the most risk, because one account posts many clips a day from sponsored streams. The safe rule: the clip must not market a casino, and gambling must not be the point of the clip.

ClipVerdictWhy
Slot bonus hit from a sponsored stream, casino logo on screen, code in captionNot allowedMarketing of gambling and gambling branded content
Same bonus hit, logo cropped, no codeRestricted, high riskStill shows gambling, so 18+ and no For You feed, and the sponsor can be obvious from context
"Watch the full session on my Kick" over a slot clipHigh riskShows gambling and drives viewers to gambling content
Streamer reacting to chat, talking or playing a non gambling gameAllowedNo gambling shown or marketed
Football or esports reaction with no betting slip or oddsAllowedSport, not gambling

If you clip for casino streamers, keep TikTok for the non gambling moments that grow the streamer's channel, and keep gambling footage on platforms whose rules allow it. Our iGaming clipping compliance guide covers the geo, disclosure and age rules that apply on every platform.

For brands, TikTok gambling marketing rules leave one open door, paid advertising, and it is narrow:

  • Certification first. Advertisers must pass TikTok's certification process with documents that prove their licence and legal compliance in each target market (Ads policy, last updated June 2026).
  • Industry Pilot Program. New regulated industries open through a controlled pilot: advertiser verification and attestation, internal risk review, a final decision and monitoring. TikTok sends applicants to their sales representative for details (Industry Pilot Program, last updated February 2025).
  • No public market list. The gambling ads policy did not list eligible countries when we checked. The older North America ad policy handbook, last updated October 2023, still lists casinos and gambling games as globally prohibited, so confirm in writing which markets your ad account can run.
  • Ad rules. Age targeting to adults, no appeal to young people, legally required disclaimers, risk warnings and clear terms.

Local law applies on top. In the UK, for example, the CAP Code bars gambling ads likely to be of strong appeal to under 18s (CAP Code section 16). Creator compliance across markets is covered in casino influencer compliance, and our wider TikTok work for operators is on the iGaming TikTok marketing page.

A Posting Checklist for Gambling Creators on TikTok

  • No casino, sportsbook, sweepstakes or social casino sponsor in the video, caption, comments or bio.
  • No promo codes, deposit offers or links to gambling sites.
  • Gambling footage only if you accept the 18+ restriction and no For You feed reach.
  • Commercial content disclosure switched on for any paid post, including non gambling ones.
  • Sponsored gambling content stays on the platform where the deal is allowed, under that platform's rules and your viewers' local law.
  • Recheck the three policy pages before each new deal.

Looking for sponsorships that fit the rules? LuvKaizen works with casino and crypto casino brands that sponsor streamers. We match you with a brand that accepts your audience's GEO, negotiate the deal, and keep the brief inside each platform's rules. Applying is free: apply for casino sponsorships in 2 minutes.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can you promote a casino on TikTok?

No, not as a creator. TikTok's Branded Content Policy lists online gambling, casinos and sports betting among its prohibited industries, and its Community Guidelines do not allow the marketing or facilitation of gambling. Only certified advertisers can run paid gambling ads in eligible markets.

Can I put a casino promo code or link in my TikTok bio?

No. A code or link that sends viewers to a casino or betting site markets and facilitates gambling, which the Community Guidelines do not allow. This applies to captions, comments and bios as well as the video itself.

Does the paid partnership toggle make gambling content allowed?

No. TikTok requires the commercial content disclosure toggle for all branded content, but gambling is a prohibited industry, so disclosure does not make a gambling promotion allowed.

Can I post my slot wins on TikTok?

A clip that shows or glamorizes gambling without a sponsor or code is allowed but restricted to viewers 18 and older, and it is not eligible for the For You feed. Expect very limited reach.

Are social casinos and sweepstakes casinos treated differently?

No. TikTok treats social casinos as gambling-like activities and lists social casinos among the prohibited industries for branded content.

Can casino operators run gambling ads on TikTok?

Only after TikTok's certification process, in markets where gambling is legal and the operator holds the required licences. TikTok handles this through its Industry Pilot Program and sales team, and ads must be age targeted to adults.

Is it OK to clip a sponsored casino stream for TikTok?

Not if the clip shows the sponsor, a code or a link, because that is gambling marketing. Clips of non gambling moments from the same stream are fine.
