How to Stream Slots on Kick: OBS Setup, Overlays and Rules

October 17, 2026

How to Stream Slots on Kick: OBS Setup, Overlays and Rules

This guide shows how to stream slots on Kick, from the OBS settings Kick recommends to the overlays, labels and disclosures a casino sponsor will look for. Every rule below was checked against Kick's Help Center and Community Guidelines on 17 October 2026.

Quick answer: Connect OBS to Kick with the Server URL and Stream Key from your creator dashboard, stream in CBR at up to 8,000 kbps and 1080p60, and capture the casino site as a window with your camera and a bonus hunt overlay on top. Before you go live, pick the Slots & Casino category and apply the 18+ label. On a sponsored stream, use the Branded Content tool and say it out loud.

Once your slot streams run well, LuvKaizen can match you with casino and crypto casino brands that sponsor Kick streamers. Applying is free.

Apply for Casino Sponsorships

What You Need Before Your First Slot Stream

how to stream slots on kick: pre stream checklist illustration
  • A legal setup. You must be of legal gambling age where you live, and online casino play must be legal there. Kick's Guideline 11 makes you follow the gambling laws of your jurisdiction.
  • An account on a licensed site. If you plan to take sponsors, Kick allows sponsored gambling only from platforms licensed in the relevant jurisdiction.
  • A PC that can encode. A slots stream runs a browser, OBS and usually a camera at once. A hardware encoder (NVIDIA NVENC or AMD) takes the load off your CPU.
  • Enough upload speed. Kick takes 1,000 to 8,000 kbps and asks you to check that your upload can handle the bitrate you pick. Run a speed test and leave headroom.
  • A second screen. One for the game, one for chat and OBS, so reading chat never moves the game window.

Kick's mobile Go Live app can stream too, but a PC with OBS gives you the overlays and scene control a slots stream depends on.

OBS Settings Kick Recommends

In OBS, open File, Settings, Stream, set the service to Custom and paste the Server URL and Stream Key from your Kick creator dashboard (Channel, then Stream URL and Key). Then match Kick's output settings:

SettingKick recommendation
Rate controlCBR (Kick does not support VBR)
Bitrate1,000 to 8,000 kbps, within your upload speed
Keyframe interval2 seconds
Resolution and frame rateUp to 1920x1080 at 60 fps
Codec and profileH.264 only, profile main
x264 encoderPreset veryfast, tune zerolatency
NVENC or AMD encoderP6 Slower, Ultra Low Latency, Single Pass
AudioStereo, 48 kHz maximum

If the stream stutters, Kick suggests lowering the bitrate in steps of 1,000 kbps or using a faster preset. Mac users should choose x264 to get CBR. Never show your stream key on screen. If it leaks, reset it in the dashboard and paste the new key into OBS. Source: Kick Help Center, How to stream on KICK.com (updated 22 May 2026).

Build a Slots Scene: Game Capture, Camera and Overlays

A good slots scene lets a viewer read the game, your balance and the bonus list at a glance. A layout that works:

  • Game capture. A window capture of a separate browser window, cropped to the game. Crop out your email, username, wallet addresses and any ID screens.
  • Camera. A small frame in a corner where it does not cover the reels or the win amount.
  • Bonus hunt overlay. A browser source listing the bonuses you collected, the bet size for each, the start balance and the break even multiplier. Break even is the money spent on the hunt divided by the total of your bet sizes: spend $1,000 to collect 20 bonuses at $2 and you need an average of 25x to break even.
  • Compliance strip. A permanent 18+ notice and, on sponsored streams, a paid promotion label. Add the sponsor's responsible gambling message if your contract asks for one.
  • Chat dock. Kick's Help Center has a guide to adding Kick chat as an OBS dock, so you can read chat without switching windows.

Channels without 1080p access show viewers up to 720p60, even if you send 1080p. Kick grants 1080p automatically once a channel reaches an engagement threshold, so size your overlay text to stay readable at 720p (Kick Help Center, 6 July 2026).

Stream Title, Category and the 18+ Label

how to stream slots on kick: stream info and labels illustration

Set your title and category under Edit Stream Info in the dashboard and save before you go live. Kick warns that the stream may not start correctly otherwise.

  • Category. Use Slots & Casino. Kick's labels guide says gambling streams must sit in the appropriate gambling category.
  • 18+ label. Gambling content always requires the 18+ label. Mislabelling can lead to warnings, relabelling, losing the ability to set labels yourself or, in repeat cases, suspension, and removing the label on purpose is treated more seriously.
  • Title. Say what the stream is: a bonus hunt, a new release or raw spins. On a sponsored stream add #Ad or #Sponsored.

Do not count on ad revenue. Kick's creator advertising page says monetization is not available in the Slots & Casino category, so sponsors and affiliate deals are where slot stream income comes from. Sources: content classification labels (12 May 2026) and advertising on Kick for creators, Kick Help Center.

Kick Gambling Rules for Every Slot Stream

Kick's Guideline 11 and its branded content rules add up to five habits for slot streamers:

  1. Follow local gambling law where you stream, and never let minors take part.
  2. No viewer money. Gambling with funds provided by other users, such as buy ins for giveaways, is strictly prohibited.
  3. Licensed sponsors only. Sponsored gambling is permitted only for platforms holding valid licenses in the relevant jurisdiction.
  4. Disclose links and codes close to the link or out loud during the stream.
  5. Label paid streams. Use the Branded Content tool, #Ad or #Sponsored in the title and a spoken disclosure at the start of the sponsored segment, in plain words like Paid Promotion rather than Partner or Collab.

The US FTC adds that a live stream disclosure should be repeated periodically, so viewers who join late still see it. Checked 17 October 2026: Kick Community Guidelines (updated 19/03/2026) and FTC Disclosures 101. Our Kick casino sponsorship guide explains how deals on the platform work.

Turn Your Slot Streams Into a Sponsorship

Once you know how to stream slots on Kick and your setup runs cleanly, casino sponsors look at what they can measure: average viewers, where your audience lives, how often you stream and whether your scene leaves room for their branding. Clips help too, and our streamer clipping guide shows how bonus moments travel as short form.

LuvKaizen has run 500+ campaigns since 2018 and works with casino and crypto casino brands that sponsor Kick streamers. We match you with a brand that accepts your viewers' countries and negotiate the deal. Applying is free, we do not promise a deal or an amount, and you stay responsible for Kick's rules and your local law.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do you stream slots on Kick?

Connect OBS to Kick with the Server URL and Stream Key from your creator dashboard, capture the casino window with your camera and overlays, then set the Slots & Casino category and the 18+ label before you go live.

What OBS settings does Kick recommend?

CBR rate control, 1,000 to 8,000 kbps, a 2 second keyframe interval, up to 1920x1080 at 60 fps, the H.264 codec and stereo audio at up to 48 kHz.

Do slot streams on Kick need an 18+ label?

Yes. Kick says gambling content always requires the 18+ label, and streams without the right label can get warnings, relabelling or, for repeat cases, suspension.
