Rev Share vs CPA for Streamers: Which Casino Deal Should You Take?
October 20, 2026

Rev share vs CPA for streamers comes down to who carries the risk: you or the casino. A flat fee puts the risk on the brand. CPA and rev share put it on you, in exchange for upside if your viewers deposit and keep playing. This guide explains how each casino deal type works, who it suits, what to check in the contract and what drives the amount you are paid.
Quick answer: Take a flat fee or a hybrid when you are new to sponsorships or your conversion is unproven. Take CPA when you know your audience deposits and you want to be paid within weeks. Take rev share only when your community is loyal, you can wait months for income, and the contract handles negative carryover fairly.
LuvKaizen negotiates casino deals for streamers and can tell you which structures brands are offering channels like yours. Applying is free.
The Casino Deal Types Compared

| Deal | How you are paid | Who carries the risk | Suits | What drives the amount |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Flat fee | A fixed amount per stream, week or month, agreed in advance | Brand | New channels, mixed audiences, anyone who needs predictable income | Your average viewers, hours delivered, exclusivity and clip rights |
| CPA | A fixed amount for each qualified first time depositor | Streamer | Channels that know their audience deposits | Audience country, the qualifying rules and how many players pass them |
| Rev share | A percentage of net gaming revenue from your players, paid monthly | Streamer | Loyal communities that play for months | Player activity, game mix, deductions and the carryover rule |
| Hybrid | A smaller fixed fee plus CPA or rev share | Shared | Ongoing partnerships | Both parts, negotiated together |
No deal type pays more in general. What you earn depends on your audience countries, how well your viewers convert and how many streams you deliver.
Flat Fee: Guaranteed Pay for Delivered Streams
A flat fee pays you for doing the work: a set number of streams, hours and on screen placements. Whether viewers deposit does not change your pay. That makes it the lowest risk structure for you and the highest risk for the brand, which is why brands often offer flat fees as short tests first. It suits you when you are new to casino deals, when your audience is spread across many countries, or when you need predictable income.
What to check in the contract:
- Upfront share. On a first deal, ask for part of the fee before you go live.
- What counts as delivered. Minimum hours, time slot and placement on screen.
- Missed streams. A makeup stream is a fair fix. Losing the whole fee is not.
- Payment date and cancellation. Put the due date in writing, and agree what happens if the brand cancels early.
- Exclusivity and clip rights. Both have value, so they should move the fee.
CPA: Paid per Depositing Player
CPA (cost per acquisition) pays a fixed amount for each new player who signs up through your link or code and makes a qualifying first deposit. The key word is qualifying, so read how the contract defines it:
- Baseline. A minimum deposit, and sometimes a minimum amount wagered, before a player counts.
- Markets. Many deals pay CPA only for players from listed countries, at a different rate per country.
- Fraud checks. Duplicate accounts and bonus abusers are removed before payment.
- Caps. Some brands limit how many first time depositors they pay for each month.
CPA pays faster than rev share and leaves you no exposure to player wins. The downside is that if your audience does not deposit, the hours you streamed earn nothing. It suits channels with a proven conversion, seasonal audiences and first tests with a new brand. Ask for regular reports showing registrations, first deposits and rejected players, not only the final invoice.
Rev Share: Long Tail Income and Negative Carryover

Rev share pays you a percentage of the net gaming revenue (NGR) your referred players generate, usually monthly for as long as they play. NGR is roughly what those players lose, minus bonuses, fees and other deductions set in the contract. It suits a loyal community that plays for months.
Two things decide whether rev share works for you:
- Negative carryover. If your players win more than they lose in a month, your balance goes negative. With carryover, that deficit is set against future months before you earn again. One big win by one viewer can wipe out several months of earnings. Programs handle it three ways: full carryover, no carryover with a monthly reset, or a capped carryover, and operators are moving toward no or capped carryover (Track360). Ask for the second or third.
- Player lifetime. Rev share rewards a community that keeps playing. An audience that deposits once and leaves pays better on CPA.
Also check which deductions come off revenue before your percentage applies. Operators like rev share because it ties your pay to player value, and our operator's revenue share playbook shows how brands think about it.
Hybrid: A Fee Plus a Performance Share
A hybrid combines a smaller fixed fee, or a smaller CPA, with a rev share. It pays you for your time and gives you a share of the upside, which is why it is common for ongoing streamer partnerships. It suits streamers who want cash early and income that grows if the community plays on.
Hybrids have more moving parts, so read three terms closely:
- Fee or advance. Some brands treat the fixed fee as an advance that is recovered from your commission before further payouts (Scaleo). Ask whether the fee is paid on top of commission or against it.
- Time limits. Some hybrids pay the rev share part only for a set period per player.
- Which terms apply to which part. Carryover usually applies to the rev share part only.
Which Deal Should You Take?
| Your situation | Start with | Why |
|---|---|---|
| New to casino deals | Flat fee or hybrid | Pay does not depend on a conversion rate you have not measured yet |
| You know your deposit conversion and want cash soon | CPA | You are paid for each qualifying player once the month closes |
| Loyal viewers who play regularly | Rev share or hybrid | Payments continue while players keep playing |
| Audience spread over many countries | Flat fee | Per country performance is hard to predict |
If you do not know how many first time depositors you send per stream, start on a flat fee or a hybrid with tracked links, collect a month of data, then renegotiate.
What Drives the Amount in Any Casino Deal
Brands do not publish a rate card. These are the inputs they weigh:
- Audience countries. A casino pays for players from markets it accepts, and some markets are worth more to it than others.
- Average live viewers and consistency. Real viewers on a steady schedule matter more than follower counts.
- Conversion history. A dashboard screenshot with signups and first deposits is the strongest proof you can show.
- Player quality. Players who keep playing are worth more than players who claim a bonus and leave.
- Exclusivity, term and clip rights. The more you give the brand, the more it can offer.
Let LuvKaizen Negotiate Your Casino Deal
Deal structure is where streamers lose value: a vague definition of a qualified player, a carryover clause or a fee with no makeup terms. LuvKaizen works with casino and crypto casino brands that sponsor streamers, matches you with a brand that accepts your audience's countries and negotiates the structure with you.
Applying is free and takes two minutes. We do not promise a deal or an amount, and you stay responsible for following your platform's rules and local law. For more, read how to get a casino sponsorship, the streamer sponsorship checklist and our Kick casino sponsorship guide.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between rev share and CPA for streamers?
CPA pays a fixed amount once for each qualified depositing player you refer. Rev share pays a percentage of the net gaming revenue those players generate, usually monthly for as long as they play, and it can go negative when players win.
Is a flat fee better than CPA?
A flat fee is lower risk because you are paid for delivered streams whatever viewers do. CPA can pay more once your audience converts well, so many streamers start on a flat fee or hybrid and move to CPA when their first time depositor numbers are proven.
What decides how much CPA a streamer gets?
The brand sets CPA per program and per country, so it depends mainly on where your players live and how many of them pass the qualifying checks. The contract's definition of a qualified player matters as much as the rate.
What decides a streamer's rev share?
The brand sets the percentage per deal, and what you earn depends on how active your players are, the games they play, the deductions taken from revenue and the carryover rule. Check those terms before you compare percentages.
What is negative carryover?
It is a clause that carries a negative monthly balance, from a month when your players won more than they lost, into the following months. You earn nothing until that balance is cleared, so ask for no carryover, a monthly reset or a cap.
What is a hybrid casino deal?
A hybrid combines a smaller fixed fee or CPA with a rev share. It pays you for your time and gives you a share of the upside, which is why it is common for ongoing streamer partnerships.
